Who can EHR assist

Low-income home owners whose household income is less than 80% of the area median income (AMI). In very limited cases EHR can assist renters who have a safety or life threatening hazard.

How to apply for EHR

Please call Andrés Calderón, Home Repair Program Director, at 801-355-7085.

Best times to call:

  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 am – 9:00 am
  • Monday–Friday: 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

During the call, you will be asked for:

  • The nature of your home repair issue.
  • Your city of residence.
  • Confirmation that you own or are buying your home.
  • The number of people in your household.
  • Your total gross monthly income.

Next Steps

  1. Initial Assessment: If you are eligible, an appointment for a home visit will be scheduled to view the problem and assist with the application.
  2. Documentation: During the visit, please have proof of home ownership and household income ready. Photos of these documents will be taken, or they may be requested via email.
  3. Approval: Once your income is verified and you are confirmed eligible, the necessary permissions will be acquired, and you will be contacted before any work begins.
  4. Inspection: After the work is completed, it is your responsibility to call to schedule a final inspection.
